Fifty-Five Solvers in Vancouver: The SAT 2004 Competition
نویسندگان
چکیده
For the third consecutive year, a SAT competition was organized as a joint event with the SAT conference. With 55 solvers from 25 author groups, the competition was a clear success. One of the noticeable facts from the 2004 competition is the superiority of incomplete solvers on satisfiable random k-SAT benchmarks. It can also be pointed out that the complete solvers awarded this year, namely Zchaff, jerusat1.3, satzoo-1.02, kncfsand march-eq, participated in the SAT 2003 competition (or at least former versions of those solvers). This paper is not reporting exhaustive competition results, already available in details online, but rather focuses on some remarkable results derived from the competition dataset. The SAT 2004 competition is ending a 3-year take-off period that attracted new SAT researchers and provided many new benchmarks and solvers to the community. The good participation rate of this year (despite the addition of the anti-blackbox rule) establishes the competition as an awaited yearly event. Some new directions for a new way of thinking about the competition are discussed at the end of the paper.

SAT Competition 2016: Recent Developments
We give an overview of SAT Competition 2016, the 2016 edition of the famous competition for Boolean satisfiability (SAT) solvers with over 20 years of history. A key aim is to point out “what’s hot” in SAT competitions in 2016, i.e., new developments in the competition series, including new competition tracks and new solver techniques implemented in some of the award-winning solvers.
متن کاملThe Evolution from LIMMAT to NANOSAT
In this technical report we summarize the evolution of SAT solvers implemented at the formal methods group at ETH Zürich. We start with LIMMAT and COMPSAT, which both took part in the SAT’03 SAT solver competition. From the more ambitious design of FUNEX we reach the minimal implementation of NANOSAT. We close the discussion with an overview on how our QBF solver QUANTOR can be used as a prepro...
متن کاملSATzilla2009: an Automatic Algorithm Portfolio for SAT
Empirical studies often observe that the performance of algorithms across problem domains can be quite uncorrelated. When this occurs, it seems practical to investigate the use of algorithm portfolios that draw on the strengths of multiple algorithms. SATzilla is such an algorithm portfolio for SAT problems; it was first deployed in the 2004 SAT competition [12], and recently an updated version...
متن کاملYet another Local Search Solver and Lingeling and Friends Entering the SAT Competition 2014
This paper serves as solver description for the SAT solvers Lingeling and its two parallel variants Treengeling and Plingeling, as well as for our new local search solver YalSAT entering the Competition 2014. For Lingeling and its variants we only list important differences to earlier version of these solvers as used in the SAT Competition 2013. For further information we refer to the solver de...
متن کاملThe Essentials of the SAT 2003 Competition
The SAT 2003 Competition ran in February – May 2003, in conjunction with SAT’03 (the Sixth Fifth International Symposium on the Theory and Applications of Satisfiability Testing). One year after the SAT 2002 competition, it was not clear that significant progress could be made in the area in such a little time. The competition was a success – 34 solvers and 993 benchmarks, needing 522 CPU days ...
